10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from heavy-duty transport

Trucks, planes, and other forms of heavy duty transport need light and fast-filling fuel: batteries weigh too much and charging them takes too long to be economical.

Hydrogen solves these problems. It is the lightest element and can fill at the same speeds as diesel.

Demonstration and pilot programs have shown that these heavy-duty vehicles can run on hydrogen, eliminating emissions.

Fuel savings and zero emissions

Today clean hydrogen fuel is expensive, driven almost equally by the cost of hydrogen production and hydrogen densification.

Billions of dollars of private and public investment is bringing down the cost of clean hydrogen through advancements in technology and the mass roll-out of hydrogen production plants.

However the current cost of making the hydrogen dense enough for use as a fuel means that it will remain more expensive than diesel.

That's where Verne comes in. We make dense hydrogen fuel financially viable so that it can be used to decarbonize heavy transportation everywhere. This means fleets of trucks, ships and planes can get fuel cost savings and zero emissions from their vehicles.
